Summary

[edit]
Description
Nederlands: Schets eenvoudige UHF Yagi antenne. Zelf gemaakte computerschets.
English: Drawing of a UHF Yagi antenna similar to types used as broadcast television antennas, drawn with a graphics program. The main lobe of the antenna's radiation pattern, that is the direction the antenna is most sensitive to radio waves, is off the right end of the antenna's axis. The curving folded dipole element (left) is the antenna's driven element which converts incoming radio waves to oscillating electric currents. It is attached to the antenna's feed line cable to the receiver. The cross-pieces to right of it are parasitic elements called "directors" which strengthen the reception from that direction. The cross-piece to the left of it is a parasitic element called a "reflector", which reflects the radio waves back to the driven element.
