Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Ufford bridge over former railway line
Ufford Bridge carries Walcot Road over what was part of the route of the former Stamford to Wansford railway line. Ufford Bridge Railway Station was built to serve the villages of Ufford and Southorpe in Cambridgeshire. The platform was actually under and to the north of this bridge. The waiting room was constructed under the bridge, using the underside of the road bridge as its roof. Although the support for the arch visible in this photograph appears to be at an angle, that is actually how it is. The station closed as long ago as 1929, but today a public footpath runs under the bridge.©plc
