U.S. Army Gen. James Dickinson James Dickinson, U.S. Space Command commander, explains the importance of the USSPACECOM flag with Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper April 12, 2022. The USSPACECOM flag was flown on the International Space Station August 29, 2019, and then given to USSPACECOM by Air Force Astronaut Col. Nick Hague and U.S. Army Astronaut Col. Andrew Morgan. While at USSPACECOM, Hickenlooper received a briefing on the threats to a safe and sustainable space domain, as well as USSPACECOM’s collaboration with the Department of Commerce on space traffic management. Staying connected with local community civic leaders provides the opportunity to better understand and advocate for U.S. Space Command’s diverse, fast-paced and evolving missions.
