| Description | A U.S. Navy mobile dentistry, in 1970. The Dental Officer of the Commander Cruiser-Destroyer Force Pacific (COMCRUSDESPAC) obtained a damaged trailer and and salvaged it with the help of Navymen of the Training and Development Center San Diego, California (USA). They realigned and strengthened the frame, then laid carpet tile and formica inside. New dental chairs and fixtures from ships being decommissioned were installed. After competion, the trailer was shipped with a U.S. Navy latbed truck to the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and turned over to the destroyer tender USS Ile Royale (AD-29) for fleet use. |
