Description

Four U.S. Navy aircraft of Air Task Group 181 (ATG-181) in flight, probably over the Eastern United States, on 29 September 1955. Visible are (top to bottom):
a Grumman F9F-6 Panther from Fighter Squadron VF-21 Mach Busters;
a Vought F7U-3M Cutlass from Attack Squadron VA-83 Sidewinders;
a McDonnell F2H-3 Banshee from VF-41 Black Aces;

and a North American FJ-3 Fury, also from VF-21, which transitioned to the FJ-3 in late 1955.
