English: Navy divers assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 2, Company 4, prepare to be lowered into the water as they conduct an underwater recovery operation in the Mediterranean Sea in search of an unaccounted-for World War II service member. The divers are deployed alongside the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command; JPAC conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts. The team is embarked aboard the USNS Grapple (T-ARS 53) during the 30-day recovery mission. |
