Summary

[edit]
Description The U.S. Navy Destroyer Division 15 (DESDIV 15) at sea, circa 1938. The view was taken from USS John D. Ford (DD-228). The other ships in the view are either USS Pillsbury (DD-227), USS Peary (DD-226), or USS Pope (DD-225). This is one of the few views taken of actual high-seas operations of the U.S. Asiatic Fleet Destroyers in this time period. Of these destroyers, only John D. Ford survived the Second World War.
