English: ARABIAN GULF (Jan. 10, 2012) Coast Guardsmen assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Monomoy (WPB-1326) turn over Iranian mariners to the Iranian Coast Guard. The cutter rendered assistance to six Iranian mariners who had to abandon the Ya-Hussayn after its engine room flooded. Monomoy is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 55, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
