BAT ARG is made up the following units; Commander, Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 6, the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (22 MEU), the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), the amphibious dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41) and the amphibious transport dock USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19).
