English: GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba (Dec. 17, 2010) Line instructors observe Petty Officer 3rd Class Damarea Hutton, assigned to the Navy Expeditionary Guard Battalion, fire a 12-gauge shotgun during a firing range exercise at Windward Range. English: Line Instructors observe Petty Officer 3rd Class Damarea Hutton from the Navy Expeditionary Guard Battalion fire a 12-gauge shotgun at his targets during a firing range exercise at Windward Range, Dec. 17. NEGB provides a portion of the guard force inside Joint Task Force Guantanamo’s detention facilities. JTF Guantanamo provides safe, humane, legal and transparent care and custody of detainees, including those convicted by military commission and those ordered released by a court. JTF conducts intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination for the protection of detainees and personnel working in JTF Guantanamo facilities and in support of the War on Terror. JTF Guantanamo provides support to the Office of Military Commissions, to law enforcement and to war crimes investigations. JTF conducts planning for and, on order, responds to Caribbean mass migration operations.
