Brian Jarrell pets his dog "Jada" after officially being presented with her as part of the Service Dog Program, at the Naval Consolidated Brig Charleston at Joint Base Charleston-Weapons Station. Jarrell was the first wounded veteran to be placed with a prisoner trained service dog through the Service Dog Program, which works in partnership with Carolina Canines for Service. The Carolina Canines for Service is a non-profit health and human services organization that trains service dogs for people with disabilities.
