SAN DIEGO (Sept. 17, 2010) - Cryptologic Technician (Collection) Sherryann Stevenson sings the national anthem at a Chief Petty Officer pinning ceremony in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). After receiving their gold anchors and combination covers, 22 new chief petty officers were welcomed into the Ronald Reagan Chief Petty Officer's Mess. Ronald Reagan was granted permission to pin their new chiefs a day later than the traditional date of September 16 so that family members of the new chiefs could attend the pinning ceremony. This is the first time in two years that Ronald Reagan's new chiefs will be pinned while the ship is moored pierside in its homeport of San Diego.
