Description
English: DAKAR, Senegal (April 8, 2010) Musician 1st Class Roger Starcher, assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band, Five Star Brass Quintet, performs for more than 300 children at the Colin Powell Cultural Center. The band is embarked aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) as part of Africa Partnership Station (APS) West. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment in West Africa supporting APS West, an international initiative developed by U.S. Naval Forces Europe and U.S. Naval Forces Africa that aims to improve maritime safety and security on the continent of Africa.
