Description
English: OAK HARBOR, Wash. (Dec. 15, 2009) Capt. Gerral David, commanding officer of Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, John Hodges, Northwest McGrath JV superintendent, and Chief John Arruda, Navy Region Northwest (NRNW) Fire and Emergency Services regional fire chief, perform a ribbon-cutting with the Jaws of Life during a reopening ceremony for the Navy Region Nortwest Fire and Emergency Services Fire Station 70 on the NAS Whidbey Island Seaplane Base. The event was the result of the completion of more than $500,000 in renovations to the more than 5000 square-foot facility that was originally built in 1943.
