Description
English: YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 12, 2009) U.S. Navy chief petty officers and sailors from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) participate in Mochitsuki, the traditional rice pounding ceremony. The ceremony took place aboard the JMSDF Yokosuka base. Mochi is a traditional Japanese food made by pounding cooked rice with wooden mallets.
