Description
English: CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct. 23, 2009) Search and rescue swimmers Seaman Corbin Laudenslager, right, from Caroline County, Va., and Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Zachery Bernat, from Punxsutawney. Pa., conduct search and rescue training exercises. Both Sailors are assigned to the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), in background. Wasp is deployed as part of Southern Partnership Station-Amphibious with Destroyer Squadron 40 and an embarked security cooperation Marine air-ground task force. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas maritime strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
