English: TUMACO, Colombia (June 16, 2009) Capt. Bob Lineberry, mission commander for Continuing Promise 2009, addresses the crowd at the Max Seidel School during Continuing Promise 2009 closing ceremonies in Colombia. Medical teams aboard the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) have treated more than 45,000 patients throughout the current Continuing Promise mission. Continuing Promise combines U.S. military and interagency personnel, non-governmental organizations, civil service mariners, academic and partner nations to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering services afloat and ashore alongside host nation personnel. Comfort is scheduled to depart Colombia June 17 as it gears up for continued humanitarian and civic assistance in El Salvador and Nicaragua.
