English: PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 20, 2008) Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Amber Scott, left, from Philadelphia, and Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Mike Vaneerde, from Santa Barbara, Calif., tighten screws on the landing gear of an E-2C Hawkeye from the "Golden Hawks" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 112 in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Stennis and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 are part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group conducting a composite training unit exercise off the coast of Southern California.
