The carrier will be gone for two months of training in preparation for a six- to seven-month-long deployment early next year. Stennis will first sail to San Diego and embark Carrier Air Wing 9, which includes the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island-based Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 138 Yellow Jackets.
