English: BLACK SEA (Oct. 4, 2007) - Sailors attempt to mend a simulated burst pipe during Damage Control (DC) Olympics aboard the 6th Fleet flagship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20). The DC Olympics were held to keep the ship’s crew fresh on DC knowledge and readiness. Mount Whitney is deployed to the Black Sea, undergoing Joint Forces Maritime Component Command training and gearing up for their Joint Task Force recertification next summer with Austere Challenge 08.
