English: CORONADO, Calif. (Aug. 6, 2007) - Utilitiesman 1st Class Josh Hullsiek receives the Bronze Star Medal from Capt. Steve Wirsching, commanding officer of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest. Hullsiek was awarded the medal for his outstanding service as a civil affairs team Sergeant supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, by identifying and organizing resources to meet the needs of the local populace. He successfully conducted over 250 combat patrols, 770 engagements with local nations and contractors resulting in the mapping of four population centers’ water, sewer, and electrical systems and the development of three Nahia governments.
