(May 31, 2007) - Seen through the sights of a World War II era 40mm anti-aircraft gun, guided missile frigate USS McInerney (FFG 8) transits Boston Harbor prior to a four day port visit in honor of the city’s Dorchester Day. McInerney Sailors will participate in a variety of activities including a community relations project, color guard at a Red Sox - Yankees game and marching in the Dorchester Day parade. McInerney recently completed a successful six-month Counter-Narco Terrorism deployment to the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific seizing more than $500,000,000 worth of contraband.
