English: CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (May 30, 2007) - About 100 feet above the deck of USS Constitution, Yeoman 1st Class Rob Santiago and Seaman Nola Sparks bend a 500-lb., 158-square yard cotton canvas sail to the ship's portside mizzenmast topsail yard. About 20 Sailors spent several hours on May 30, 2007, rigging the first of six sails to the 2,200-ton, three-masted wooden frigate, readying "Old Ironsides" for two underway demonstrations this summer. USS Constitution is - at 209 years old - the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world, manned by 64 active duty U.S. Navy Sailors, and visited by nearly half a million tourists annually.
