English: NEW YORK (May 24, 2007) - Electronic Technician Seaman Apprentice Christopher Clement, from Colorado Springs, Colo., a student at Naval Submarine School Groton, volunteers at The Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, which has been symbol of hope and compassion in the Chelsea section of Manhattan for the past 23 years. Housed in the landmark Church of the Holy Apostles, the soup kitchen serves more than 1,100 hot nutritious meals every weekday, including holidays. This event took place during the 20th annual Fleet Week New York. Nearly 3,000 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen are participating in Memorial Day parades, volunteering with local community organizations, and experiencing the hospitality of the city.
