Description
English: NORTH ARABIAN SEA (24 March 2007) - Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), clean the ship's flight deck with Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF). AFFF agent is part of the ships firefighting and damage control system, and can be delivered through the ship’s exterior biological and chemical counter measures wash down system. Boxer is the flagship for Boxer Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) which is operating in the Persian Gulf conducting Maritime Security Operations (MSO) in support of U.S. 5th Fleet.
