English: Imperial Beach, Calif. (Aug. 30, 2006) - Two Sailors assigned to Naval Special Clearance Team One (NSCT-1) unload a robotic device used for explosive disposal while participating in Seahawk 2006. The exercise is a combination of anti-terrorism and force protection training involving units from U.S. Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC). In January, the Navy created the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, bringing EOD, Naval Coastal Warfare, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support functions and the Seabees under one umbrella. NECC integrates all war fighting requirements for expeditionary combat and combat support elements. U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Patrick M. Kearney (RELEASED) |
