English: South China Sea (June 6, 2006) - Chief Navy Diver Matthew Stevens and Navy Diver 1st Class Kevin Parsons stage handle Master Sgt. David Ling from the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) prior to conducting a dive off the side of rescue and salvage ship USS Salvor (ARS 52) during the Singapore phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2006. RSN and U.S. divers paired up and dived together throughout the diving exercise. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the U.S. and six Southeast Asia nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
