Description
English: Pacific Ocean (June 5, 2006) - Machinist's Mate Fireman Shane Romero prepares a sample canister of liquid oxygen for purity testing aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Liquid oxygen is used in the life support systems of aircraft and must be checked regularly for purity to ensure the safety of aircrews.
