Pearl Harbor carried 140 tons of relief supplies to Karachi in support of Pakistan's relief effort in the northern part of that country. The United States is participating in a multinational assistance and support effort led by the Pakistani Government to bring aid to the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Pakistan on October 8, 2005.
