English: New Orleans (Sept. 3, 2005) – An Air National Guard MH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter drops off water and Meals Ready-to-Eat (MRE’s) to stranded New Orleans area citizens after the city was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The Army National Guard have been mobilized to take part in Joint Task Force Katrina, a humanitarian assistance operation in a joint effort led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
