Nassau performed training operations off the coast of Camp Lejeune, N.C., with Marines from 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, from Camp Lejeune, for the first time since the end of Nassau's last deployment in May 2003. The nine-day underway period, which began June 23, 2005, gave Sailors and Marines valuable training in operational conditions in preparation for deployment later this year.
