English: Boston, Mass. (June 18, 2005) - Boston National Historical Park Supervisor of Interpretation, Bill Foley; Retired Navy pilot and Medal of Honor recipient, Capt. Thomas Hudner; and Commanding Officer, USS Constitution Cmdr. Lewin Wright, prepare to lay a wreath over the side of USS Cassin Young to honor fallen veterans from all armed services. The wreath laying was part of a Department of Defense-sponsored World War II 60th Anniversary Commemoration ceremony at the Charlestown Navy Yard, and the culmination to Boston Navy Week. Twenty such weeks are planned this year in cities throughout the U.S., arranged by the Navy Office of Community Outreach (NAVCO). NAVCO is a new unit tasked with enhancing the Navy's brand image in areas with limited exposure to the Navy. U.S. Navy photo by Journalist 1st Class Dave Kaylor (RELEASED) |
