English: Persian Gulf (June 7, 2005) - Distinguished Visitors from the Netherlands are briefed on carrier flight operations, using the ouija board in flight deck control. The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is currently deployed to the Persian Gulf conducting operations in support of multi-national forces in Iraq and maritime security operations in the Gulf in order to set the conditions for security and stability in the region. Vinson will end its deployment with a homeport shift to Norfolk, Va., and commence a three-year refuel and complex overhaul.
