Fox, assigned to USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), enjoys an open water recreational scuba dive at Manta Ray Bay Reef on the Great Barrier Reef during a four-day port visit to Cairns, Australia. Blue Ridge is preparing to participate in Talisman Saber 2005, a joint sponsored U.S. Pacific Command and Australian Defense Force Joint Operations Command exercise designed to train the U.S. Seventh Fleet commander's staff and Australian Joint Operations staff as a designated combined task force headquarters. The exercise will focus on crisis Action planning and execution of contingency response operations. U.S. Pacific Command units and Australian forces will conduct land, sea and air training throughout the training area. Blue Ridge is the U.S. Seventh Fleet command ship, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan.
