San Diego based hospital ship Mercy and the MSC combat stores ship USNS Niagara Falls (T-AFS 3) have arrived off the coast of Papua New Guinea to provide humanitarian assistance and focused medical care to the residents to the area. Mercy is en route to its homeport of San Diego after taking part in Operation Unified Assistance in support of the tsunami and earthquake devastation, which struck Indonesia.
