The San Diego based Mercy and the MSC combat stores ship USNS Niagara Falls (T-AFS 3) have arrived off the coast of Papua New Guinea to provide humanitarian assistance and focused medical care to the residents of the area. Mercy is en route to its homeport after taking part in Operation Unified Assistance in support of the tsunami and earthquake that devastated parts of Indonesia.
