The ship left Pearl Harbor June 28th, as part of the USS Belleau Wood (LHA 3) Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) and spent most of her time in the 5TH Fleet area of responsibility conducting anti-smuggling, anti-piracy and anti-terrorism operations.
