English: Naval Air Station, New Orleans, La. (Dec. 3, 2004) – From front, Aviation Ordnanceman 1st Class Kyle Smithey, Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Anthony Marquez, and Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Nick Seward remove an AIM-9M Sidewinder missile from an F/A-18A+ Hornet assigned to the "River Rattlers" of Strike Fighter Squadron 204 (VFA-204). The AIM-9 Sidewinder is a heat-seeking, short-range, air-to-air missile carried by F/A-18 Hornets and F-14 Tomcats. The Hornets were performing the duties as adversary aircraft for a training mission with F-14D Tomcats assigned to the "Black Lions" of Fighter Squadron Two One Three (VF-213) during their Strike Fighter Advance Readiness Program (SFARP).
