English: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (June 30, 2004) - Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Adm. Walter F. Doran gives South Australia Senator Robert Hill and his wife Mrs. Diana Hill, a tour of the USS Arizona Memorial during their visit to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii at the start of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2004 exercise. RIMPAC is the largest international maritime exercise in the waters around the Hawaiian Islands. This years exercise includes seven participating nations; Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States. RIMPAC is intended to enhance the tactical proficiency of participating units in a wide array of combined operations at sea, while enhancing stability in the Pacific Rim region.
