English: Mediterranean Sea (June 24, 2004) - Plane Captain Airman Jorge L. Jaramillio, assigned to the “Blue Blasters” of Strike Fighter Squadron Three Four (VFA-34) looks at the coast of Northern Africa from the flight deck of USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) as the carrier passes through the Strait of Gibraltar. Kennedy is one of seven aircraft carriers participating in Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the simultaneous deployment of seven aircraft carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat power across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces.
