Description
English: Naval Station Norfolk, Va. (Mar. 12, 2004) - Workers place a cantilevered roof truss on an Aircraft Maintenance Hangar under construction at Naval Station Norfolk, Va. Each of the five trusses in the hangar is 155 feet long, weighs 110,000 pounds and is made of steel pipe. When construction is completed in the fall of 2004, the hangar will be the home for Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Four Zero (VRC-40). It is one of several new hangars at Naval Station Norfolk being designed and built under the management of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. U.S. Navy photo by John E. Peters. (RELEASED)
