English: Central Command Area of Responsibility (Aug. 31, 2003) -- The Honorable Richard L. Baltimore, US Ambassador to Oman, gives a thumbs up following a flight in an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the “Black Aces” of Fixed Wing Strike Fighter Squadron Forty One (VFA-41), on the flight deck aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz Strike Group and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
