English: Camp Patriot, Kuwait (Apr. 12, 2003) -- Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Jeff Healey, 33, from Albuquerque, N.M., tests the barrel alignment of the M2 .50 caliber machine gun with the 'go-no go' key during a recent joint live fire exercise here. Healey and others attached to Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit One Zero Nine (MIUW-109), homeported in Fort Worth, Texas, described the specifics of the M2 to 20 Kuwaiti security force personnel during a joint nation crew serve weapons familiarization training fire. MIUWU-109 is one of the key all-reserve units attached to Naval Coastal Warfare Group One (NCWG-1) forward deployed to handle force protection responsibilities at Camp Patriot. Camp Patriot is home to nearly 3,000 active duty and reserve Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen forward deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
