English: The Arabian Gulf (Mar. 29, 2003) -- Sailors from Deck Department take part in a "Deck Seamanship Olympics" competition aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). The event was held to raise money for the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society. Kearsarge is deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
