English: Central Command Area of Responsibility (Mar. 23, 2003) -- An MH-53 Sea Dragon helicopter from the 'Vanguards' of Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron Fourteen (HM-14) pulls a Mark-105 magnetic sled during mine countermeasure operations near the mouth of the Khawar Abd Allah river that separates Iraq and Kuwait. HM-14 is repositioned aboard the Austin class amphibious warfare ship USS Ponce (LPD 15) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
