Description
English: At sea aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Jan. 29, 2003 -- A hose team member accompanies a damage control firefighting team leader, during a simulated checking for fire in a smoke-filled room using the Naval Firefighting Thermal Imaging device (NFTI). Kitty Hawk is the Navy’s only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier and operates out of Yokosuka, Japan. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate Airman Jason T. Poplin. (RELEASED)
