English: Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. (Nov. 6, 2002) – Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps officers get a taste of the dynamics of parachuting by training with a parasail. Students are towed with a rope attached to a vehicle and are pulled to about 100 feet in the air and experience gravity first hand. The exercise allows students to practice controlling the parachute during the decent and Parachute Landing Falls (PLF), a technique that minimizes injury during a parachute landing.
