Description
English: At sea aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Oct. 14, 2002) -- Sailors man one of the ship’s .50 caliber gun mounts during a force protection exercise, as a U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer assigned to the battle group operates not far from the ship. The Abraham Lincoln and Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14) are on a regularly scheduled deployment conducting combat operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Southern Watch.
