Description
English: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Bremerton, WA (May 20, 2002) -- Shipyard worker Mike Prescall from Newport News, VA, welds the base of the new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) system used for shipboard firefighting aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson and her crew are conducting their Planned Incremental Availability (PIA) period to install new technology and extend operational capability of the ship. Vinson is homeported at Naval Station Bremerton, WA. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate Airman Ryan Jackson. (RELEASED)
