English: Corporal Nicholas Brown describes the capabilities of the RQ-11B Raven, an unmanned aerial vehicle, to analyst intelligence operations soldiers with the Headquarters, 1st Brigade, Australian Army, Australian Defence Force, May 19, at Robertson Barracks, Palmerston, Northern Territory, Australia. The Raven provides intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for Marine Corps units through a video camera in the nose section to capture medium-resolution imagery of the field. Working with the Australian Army enables Marines to effectively train, exercise, and operate with the ADF to enhance regional security and build the capacity to respond rapidly to natural disasters and crises throughout that region. Brown is an intelligence specialist with Headquarters and Support Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Reba James) |
